Style Diary — Dark Green for Fall & the Perfect Black Pumps

Dark Green Corduroy, Cream Turtleneck, and Black D'Orsay Pumps

Happy Monday Lovelies!  And happy Halloween!  I'm excited to go into work later and see all of my students' costumes! Many of them had such creative ideas, like one is being a voodoo doll... strange, but creative!  I'm being lame and not dressing up (although, I'll be at work till 9, so I think I have a decent excuse ;) ), but I'd love to hear what you all are being!

I'm so excited to share today's look!  I wanted to share it last week, but my camera died...thankfully it was under warranty and was repaired quickly!  Dark green has been a big color this fall, and I was so excited when I remembered I had these pants stashed with my winter clothes!  Does anyone else forget about clothes/shoes and then feel like it's Christmas when they rediscover them?  They're corduroy, so they're warm & cozy, and I think dark green color is so pretty - an 'almost neutral' that works so well with a whole range of colors, especially other neutrals!  I love how luxe the black, gold, dark green, and cream/winter white look paired together. While these are a few years old and not sold anymore, I've found and linked some very similar dark green bottoms options below!   Also, if you're looking for a good basic turtleneck for fall/winter, look no further!  This sweater is so soft and cozy, comes in several different colors, and has been on and off sale a lot recently!  Plus it has a little bit of lovely detailing that keeps it from being a boring basic, like the seam that runs down the middle and the slits on the side.  Loft runs great sales pretty regularly, so if you keep your eye out (aka read their emails), you can probably get it for a steal too! Also, these pumps... I already raved about them in my Fall Favorites post, but seriously, they're such a perfect pair of basic black pumps!  They're so comfortable, there's barely any breaking in required!  I also got them on huge sale, less than half price, another perk from skimming through emails and a friend sharing her coupon code with me! (thanks Julz! 😘)

Also, I would love all of your thoughts on something!!  I used to make jewelry and run my own little business several years ago.  I've been thinking about starting to make and sell it again, but want to see what you all think!  I'll be sharing some pieces over the next month, so let me know in the comments below... Do you like it?  Is there anything you'd change about the piece?  Is it something you'd consider buying?  Today's featured piece(s) is this pair of earrings I made (probably 5 years ago)!  It's one of my favorite designs, that I've made in several different colors combinations!

xx
